Hello ✋ I am back again 😋
In my last letter, I mentioned why and how this year is the easiest time to start an online side project and how you should proceed with it.
Now you might have got some ideas and a long to-do list of projects as well as aspirations.
But have you ever heard of a never-going-to-do list?
I have a never-going-to-do list for myself.
- I am never going to work for clients or employers irrespective of their offerings if they are not humble by nature and don’t respect their team.
- I am never going to behave rudely with my team, freelancers, or any junior working with me.
- I am never going to be so busy to ignore other aspects of my life.
- I am never going to compromise my physical health as well as my mental health.
- I am never going to let money make me anxious.
It’s a long list but I shared some of them which might be relevant to you.
Now whatever comes on my list, I just need to think about how I can totally avoid it.
How does it help?
We all are so busy in our day-to-day life that we forget to ponder over what’s really important.
But when we have a never-going-to-do list, we are forced to optimize our lifestyle around it.
Here’s how I came up with some solutions:
- I am never going to work for clients or employers irrespective of their offerings if they are not humble by nature and don’t respect their team >> I research, talk and analyze the values of people. I proceed only if the vibes match.
- I am never going to behave rudely with my team, freelancers, or any junior who is working with me >> I try to guide them and treat them exactly the way how I want to get treated by my seniors.
- I am never going to be so busy ignoring other aspects of my life >> I try to steal as much time as possible and fix the leakages (remember chapter #5 of my email course?)
- I am never going to ever compromise my physical health as well as my mental health >> I work out, eat healthy at the right times, take rest, and surround myself with the right content and people.
- I am never going to let money make me anxious >> I am constantly trying to become financially literate, use frameworks to plan my budget, and explore ways to increase revenue.
See?
These are some obvious solutions but do we really get to think and optimize what we dislike? It’s unusual to ponder over them and figure out some answers. Now I am in no way going to miss my never-going-to-do list.
My brain knows it very well 🙂
TODAY’S ACTION ITEM FOR YOU
Step 1: Pick what you absolutely hate doing or seeing around you in your day-to-day life
Step 2: Attach “how” to your problem statement and write down the ways to avoid it
Step 3: Execute it consciously
Reply to this email and let me know what things are on your never-going-to-do list. I love it when you reply and we discuss it.\
WHAT I DID THIS WEEK
Birthday weeks are special. If closest friends plan the surprise, they are more special. Camped near a lake while staring at the stars. The last time, I saw such a sky full of stars was in 2018. Nature is truly mesmerizing.
BOOK I AM CURRENTLY READING
This week, I read “Real Ghost And Paranormal Stories From India” by Shalu Sharma. It’s a collection of short horror stories that we used to love when we used to have a fun time with cousins. To be honest, I was not expecting much but it turned out to be a good read with the right climax in every story. Neither they felt too fake to be real nor they were totally superstitious.
Horror fans – give me a high-five!
AROUND THE WEB THIS WEEK
Discovered this website called “SuperCartoons .net” where we can watch old cartoons for free. It has so many shows from Tom & Jerry, Road Runner, Bugs Bunny, Pink Panther, and literally all popular characters!
You are going to love this if you are a 90s kid who loved watching the old version of Cartoon Network.
Now you know what I am going to do this weekend 🙂
