I realized I should have sent this letter 2 weeks back so you could try this small side project.
Amazon Prime Sale was live on 20th-21st July.
Almost everyone with slight understanding and influence in some niche can make some sweet extra income during this period.
As an affiliate, this sale season always generated highest profit for me.
Setup
I curated around 50 gadgets. Then I categorized products and pasted my affiliate links on my website store.
You can curate products based on your expertise – books, home decor, electronics, fashion, or anything.
Instead of a website, you can use Google Sheets to keep setup simple. If you use Whatsapp Business, you can use its catalog feature.
You can skip putting too many efforts. Treat this like an MVP.
Tip: Try curating unique gift items as they have the highest conversion rates during sales.
Distribution
I mostly shared on my Whatsapp communities, Telegram groups and other platforms.
I even sent personal messages to some friends who are heavily into shopping.
Earning Potential
Amazon shares 1%-6% of commission on every purchase made from your link.
Let’s make some estimations:
- Total people who will purchase using your link = 100
- Average order value = Rs 2000
- Total sales made in 3 days = Rs 2,00,000
- At average 4% commission rate, you can earn =Rs 8000
I mostly sold laptops, mobile phones and electronics so earnings were higher.
Why It Works So Well?
Everyone is looking for deals on some new products. Most people purchase products that they don’t even need immediately.
People don’t necessarily need to buy the products that you recommend. Once they click your link, any purchase they make on the Amazon website is attributed to you.
So all indirect sales count as well.
Best Part?
You have nothing to lose except some time. There’s no loss here.
Important
Don’t expect to magically sell. Nobody purchases randomly.
You need to understand the needs of people and recommend products that are helpful to them.
Avoid spamming irrelevant products to people.

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK
As planned in my last letter, I am back to my routine. Not all, but essential ones.
Made some complex calculations for client to analyze if our efforts will bring results in future based on performance so far.
Then this week had been a roller coaster at the office with absolute new projects and a high learning curve.
It felt like my brain was on steroids.
I took naps whenever I felt my productivity dropped to recharge myself. Thanks to cozy and cool weather due to heavy rains.
This led to 180-degree turn in my regular schedule.
But I am extremely confident that all these efforts will be worth it 💪
It’s like doing an MBA but by practically implementing on real businesses, which is a real fun.
