AI Scares Me. Not for Myself But For The Society

Have you been exploring AI tools?

I recently got a ChatGPT Plus subscription and started heavily training it to clone myself. On top of that, I’ve been testing Proxy by Convergence AI, which is pushing AI automation to a whole new level.

The result?

My productivity has skyrocketed.

My expertise + AI = A killer combo.

I genuinely believe that anyone—yes, anyone—can be a one-person marketing team with AI.

And that got me thinking… 😅

AI isn’t just about writing content, as most people assume.

It’s doing so much more.

Some of my non-developer friends have built Chrome extensions and even apps, all with the help of ChatGPT.

I’ve trained multiple AI models to automate my own workflows, and it’s saving me a ridiculous amount of time.

And now, AI agents are coming. Not just chatbots—but fully autonomous agents that can browse the web, gather information, and execute tasks. Imagine telling an AI to:

  • Find all YouTube channels with 100k+ subscribers.
  • Extract their email addresses.
  • Draft and send them a pitch.

Boom. Done. No manual effort.

This is happening. Proxy by Convergence AI is already on the path to making AI agents a reality.

But here’s my fear…

AI is going to eat jobs for breakfast.

We’ve already stopped hiring content writers because AI + a skilled marketer is simply a better, more efficient combination. Our existing team is being trained to work with AI rather than be replaced by it.

But what about those who aren’t upgrading their skills?

The gap between those who leverage AI and those who don’t will widen at an alarming rate.

The rise of AI might lead to increased unemployment, which in turn can trigger bigger societal problems—misuse of technology, rising crime rates, and economic instability.

It’ll be interesting (and terrifying) to see where things go from here.

✍ TODAY’S ACTION ITEM

If you’re not upgrading, start today.

AI isn’t the future—it’s already here eating jobs after jobs.

Nobody is going to tell you that because everyone is busy in discussing how Samay Raina’s show is destroying our culture.

But here’s what you should do –

  1. Learn AI-Assisted Workflows: Whether you’re a writer, marketer, designer, or business owner, find ways AI can make you more efficient.
  2. Experiment with AI Tools: ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, and now AI agents like Proxy—get hands-on experience before they become mainstream.
  3. Think Beyond Just Writing: AI can code, research, analyze, automate, and more. How can it complement your expertise?
  4. Adapt or Get Left Behind: The reality is harsh, but the sooner you embrace AI, the better you’ll position yourself for the future.

AI isn’t just changing the game—it’s rewriting the rules entirely.

The question is: Are you ready to play?
