My friend, Yash, just changed the lives of 5 engineering students in less than 6 months!
Not exaggerating!
He trained college going-students who almost hated coding to build full-fledged products (not just projects!) using Java.
He started with 1 student – just his own cousin.
4 more students joined him and they all completed multiple projects.
As his first batch officially completed, I visited his place and woah! I see these college-going kids literally built products!
Rajvardhan Patil & Sejal Rokade – QuizShop
Whole batch got regular assignments over WhatsApp everyday. And these 2 folks got an idea. Why not just automate the whole process and organize it? They built a software that has a pool of questions, a batch of students and a teacher. Teachers can just click a few buttons and students get their assignment over email.
It’s a mini-LMS software!
Janvi Sawalkar – Task Assigner
Task Assigner is a project management tool. It allows project managers to assign tasks, set due dates, take follow ups, and do all the important tasks that a project management tool allows.
It’s a mini project management tool!
Avanti Sangai – Bake Book
Bake Book helps cake shop owners to accept orders, generate invoices and send confirmation messages over Whatsapp.
It’s a mini billing and accounting software!
Crazy! I am a strong believer in side projects but these students literally built products!
What next?
I see these students are merely in the 2nd or 3rd year of their college and they are already building real projects.
They can be easily hired.
They can build their own products to sell.
They can help businesses to build their own products.
Possibilities are endless.
That’s the power of projects.
About Yash:
I’ve been following Yash’s journey for the last 2 years and I am aware how hard he has been working on his side hustle.
Managing an offline full-time job as well as coaching Engineering students is hard.
He’s an inspiration and I feel so glad to see his journey so closely from the beginning.
More power to him!
This is not sponsored content. In fact, he doesn’t even know that I am writing this.
If you know someone who might need help with Java programming, reach out to him directly.
PS: He’s extremely selective while choosing his students.
TODAY’S ACTION ITEMS
Nothing immediate!
Take side projects seriously 🙂
Restart the assignment that I shared with you a few months back!
