Happy Republic Day 🫡
Just wrapped up a project that I’m pretty excited about and wanted to share a quick takeaway.
So, I was working on a website for a client.
I suggested keeping it simple – just one page on her website ☝️
The less is more philosophy.
Now, the client raised a valid question: “Why not go all out with multiple pages that we plan out?” 🤔
Fair question
So, I threw it back at her asking, “What’s our goal here?” 🎯
And she said, “We need leads” 🏹
Bingo.
I explained, “Sure, we could spend a good two weeks on a fancy website, hire designers, copywriters, and I’d have to obviously charge more. But our primary goal is to see if we get leads using this website” 💯
I continued, “We want to see if we’re getting traffic, understand what people want, and then fine-tune our approach. Once we’ve got a decent flow, we can jazz up the website, add more pages” 🚀
Building things is easy. Real challenge is to market and sell them 😅
The point is, it’s easy to get lost in perfecting things that don’t really move the needle for our goals.
I realized it a bit late in my life, but the key is to stop overthinking and deliver what’s crucial.
That’s why some of my recent projects have been overnight jobs 🌃
Focus on what matters now. Don’t waste time overengineering
Get it out there, see what works, and tweak as needed ✅
✍ TODAY’S ACTION ITEM
Before diving into your next project, ask yourself, “What’s the primary goal here?”
Trim the unnecessary, get to the core, and watch those results roll in 🎳
✔ WHAT I DID THIS WEEK
Watched “The Secret Life of Pets” – if you like animated cuteness and love the idea of pets having secret lives, this one’s a winner 🐕🦺
Then I watched the recently released movie “HanuMan”. It’s about a man who accidentally gets superpowers and clashes with the villain who is desperate to get his own superpowers. Action scenes are overboard at times but have a nice concept and story 💪
Yeah – 2 movies in a single week! 😛
Spent the majority of my weekend in a deep dive into the world of Windows. Had to explore all tech videos, details, and more tinkering than I ever thought I’d do.
I played too much of “Monopoly/Business” board game this week. It’s about buying and trading properties and bankrupting others along the way. Classic game. Have you ever played it? 🎲
Continued reading “Expert Secrets” by Russel Brunson. I have read ¼ sections so far. This book teaches you to find an expert within yourself. Believe or not you are already good at something, all you have to do is to become expert at that skill
Researched and tested some AI tools. I am yet to get perfectly working solution but I am almost there… (or maybe not?) ⛳
I got too much free time this week. Reason? 😁
Managed to get everything on my to-do list done ahead of schedule. Feeling like a productivity ninja this week! 🥷
